Grace Perkins

Mowsworth Rampage

We're riding a ride-on lawnmower 86km through Molesworth to Hanmer Springs

You Can Help Us Make a Difference... make a donation to the Cancer Society Nelson Tasman and Nelson Tasman Hospice today.

We all know someone who has been supported by the Cancer Society Nelson Tasman and Nelson Tasman Hospice.

That’s why we're riding 86km in the Mowsworth Rampage because we want to help support people in our community who are supported by these charities.

We're taking on this challenge to raise both awareness and funds for the Cancer Society Nelson Tasman and Nelson Tasman Hospice.

And we're hoping that you’ll donate to help make a difference!

Anything you can give is greatly appreciated.

Mowing what I can

Wednesday 5th Jun
Kia Ora all, my name is Grace Perkins, and although I haven't been a part of the Nelson community very long, I know that we all know someone affected by cancer, and when I saw the mowsworth rampage event advertised in my local mad butcher, I just knew I had to put my hand up and get involved for such a great cause.

I am also familar with the Molesworth area, having done a brief stint of summer work there as a wilding pine control contractor. So, I am well aware of the rugged harsh conditions it can throw at you. But I plan to be well prepared. I will have my team, the Mowsworth Cowboys to support me. This includes my partner Dan, aswell as his dad Phil who is our team mechanic.

I am also sure while riding for hours on end through the scorching sun and dust into the never-ending horizon that hopefully the thought of a nice pint of Guinness or Monteiths black and a soak in the Hamner hot pools will spur me on to the finish line.  One day of riding a lawnmower through 86km of the South Island is a small feat compared to what so many people suffering from cancer endure day to day, so I just hope I can fundraise whatever I can to make it just that little much easier and make a difference in their life.

Well, thanks for reading this,
Plz donate even 0.50 cents.... every little bit counts!
